The Sri Lankan captain is not giving up as easily on Muttiah Muralitharan even as Sri Lanka Cricket seemed to suggest.

Kumar Sangakkara is not convinced but rather hoping against hope that Muttiah Muralitharan recovers from his groin injury as Sri Lanka hope to go the distance in the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in the Caribbbean.
Although the board suggested that the medical advice was for a rest for two to three weeks, Sangakkara is keeping his fingers crossed although he showed confidence in Suraj Randiv, Muralitharan's replacement.
Sangakkara spoke to reporters, "We haven't ruled him out completely. We are going to give him a few more days to try and see whether he can get on the park and compete at 100 per cent for us."
