Sania's PR representative has confirmed that the Pakistan cricketer and India's tennis player have indeed got married as of Monday.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Mallik apparently confirmed their marriage on Monday, against the original plan for 15th of April. The marriage across borders has been embroiled in controversy first over Mallik not admitting his first marriage and thereafter, with certain sections of the Muslim community none too pleased to issue a fatwa for the bride and groom staying together in the same house before marriage while extremist Hindu wings upset over the union.
Give Sania Mirza's penchant for staying in the news, certainly this will not be the last one hears of their wedding. The glitz and glamour of the reception is yet to come.
