After the disappointing show of Indian Cricket Team in the World Cup 2007, followed by the immediate exit of Coach Greg Chappel, a great vacuum is created. Search for a perfect Coach of Indian Cricket Team continues. On Saturday Niranjan Shah, secretary of Board of Control for Cricket in India stated that selection committee will meeting on June 4 to finalize the new coach of Indian Cricket Team.

Bangladesh Cricket Board invited BCCI team for the first test after world cup between India and Bangladesh. BCCI team arrived in Chittong, which comprises of President Sharad Pawar, administrative head Professor R S Shetty, secretary Shah and Vice-president Rajiv Shukla.

During the press meet, Niranjan Shah also refused that there is no meeting is held between the bigwigs of BCCI and Bangaladesh Coach Dav Whatmore. He stated sternly, 'We have not come here to talk to Dav Whatmore. We have come here on the BCB's invitation to watch the game. We had come here hoping to see Sourav [Ganguly] and Sachin [Tendulkar] score a century'.

It was also announced that on June 20 Indian Cricket Team is leaving for Ireland. After this tour, they will head towards England. Thus, they are trying hard to finalize new coach by June10.

It seems that looking out for the successor to former Coach Greg Chappel is a tough task. During the Bangladesh tour, former all-rounder Ravi Shastri is declared as the Cricket Manager of Indian Cricket Team. Whereas Shastri has clarified that he will be the manager only during this tour and has to discontinue his services after this tour due to some professional issues.
