Sehwag has breached section 1.5 of the ICC Code by celebrating a dismissal befor the umpire's decision. He removed Denesh Ramdin and Dwayne on the day five as Indies banking these two players to avoid defeat. Asad Rauf, Simon Taufel and Billy Doctrove brought the charge before the match referee Jeff Crowe. Sehwag was declared guilty of breaching the ICC Code by Jeff Crowe.
