Shah Rukh Khan May Strip for KKR; But Can He Force Sourav Ganguly to Go Shirtless?

The Kolkata Knight Riders' owner first tried to please Sourav Ganguly through words. Now he is suggesting that he is buddy enough with Dada to call for a little skin show exhibition if KKR win the IPL 4. However, is Dada willing to relent?

It would seem that Shah Rukh Khan, otherwise known as the Bollywood badshah, can sometimes get ahead of himself in desperate situation. The Kolkata fans have certainly expressed in plenty of ways what they thought of SRK's IPL franchisee dropping Sourav Ganguly from their IPL 4 plans. In fact as Dada remains unsold at the IPL 4 auctions, the anger and the consternation has grown over the local hero.

However, on those occasions, Shah Rukh Khan had pleaded innocence. With the Eden Gardens crowd sparse, he exhorted that the team wanted to win it for Dada. However, Dada may have been asking, why win it for me when I can win it for myself, my team and my fans?

Several feelers were sent to Sourav Ganguly to later join the KKR team as a mentor. However, Ganguly does not believe his best by date is done and has remained hopeful of somehow sneaking into the IPL 4 which has not happened with the Kochi franchisee waking up late to include the former Indian captain.

Now, Shah Rukh Khan has been claiming to take off his shirt and reveal his abs if the Kolkata Knight Riders, faring much better this season, reach the final. But he may have pushed it a touch too far when he claimed that should KKR win the IPL 4, he will not only take off his shirt but also, ask Sourav Ganguly to do the same.

But it is debatable when the miffed former Indian captain is even in a mood to cheer on KKR, having been stuck in a tough situation of odds when John Buchanan was on and now having Shah Rukh Khan drag his name into every television conversation in a bid to appease the Bengali contingent. Thus far, it has been cold war. Will Sourav Ganguly bring in the thaw?
