Shahid Afridi is never one to hold back his thoughts. After his smashing success in Twenty20 in different countries (currently in Australia), Afridi now sets his sights on new teams in IPL 3.

The Pakistan Twenty20 captain has previously played for the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers in the inaugural IPL season but missed playing for the team during IPL 2 which was ultimately staged in South Africa.
But he was not alone. All the Pakistan cricketers signed up with the IPL suffered for want of participation in IPL 2 following the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai.
Now the only way for Pakistan to ensure their names in the participation is to put their name up for the IPL 3 auctions, which Afridi has also.
Amongst the huge contingent of players, Afridi stands a great chance of being picked, following his Twenty20 match winning performances for Pakistan in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 in England and also his two Man of the Match performances for the South Australian Redbacks in the current Big Bash Twenty20 in Australia who have signed him on.
But ask Afridi who he would like to play for if given a chance, the former Hyderabad player had no hesitation in naming the Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, incidentally both teams co owned by Indian actors though one seriously doubts if that had anything to do with his choice. Certainly a brave one to call on KKR after last year's dismal performance.
Wonder how he will feel if the Deccan Chargers franchisee owners ignore the slight and once again bid for him with deep pockets?
