There is never an easy cricket series involving Pakistan apparently. Even as the West Indies are fighting their own hidden battles, Shahid Afridi, the Pakistan captain, and Waqar Younis, the Pakistan coach, cannot apparently see eye to eye following the Pakistan West Indies ODI series.

The cracks reportedly began during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, to the extent that the Pakistan ODI captain almost decided to skip the West Indies tour. While it is still being debated whether Afridi's decision to join the team was indeed not another conspiracy theory involved problems with Pakistan cricket, what is not in doubt is that the Pakistan captain intends to meet with the Pakistan Cricket Board to air some of the problems that have continued to split the thinking in the Pakistan dressing room.
Earlier it was reported that the Pakistan selector, Mohsin Khan, had some difference that caused him to want to resign but was held back by the Pakistan cricket board that denied the news altogether. However, it seems that the captain-coach problems is something the Pakistan Cricket Board is unable to do a good cover job of.
Now it seems that Afridi is up to his neck over arguments with Waqar Younis, particularly over selection matters involving the team. With matters reporting coming to a head during the Pakistan West Indies ODI series, the Pakistan ODI captain intends to make the most of his return trip where he will take his woes to the board even as Pakistan prepare for the Test series, a format from which Afridi has retired and therefore, will be flying back home.
Where Pakistan cricket goes, can turbulence or rumours of it even be far behind?
