It has finally confirmed from the man himself. Liz Hurley's sound bytes about Shane Warne retiring from the IPL was already doing the rounds. Now the Rajasthan Royals captain has come to state that his girlfriend's talk was absolutely on the mark.

It is interesting that the British model-actress chose to reveal the information before Warne chose to do it himself. However, ever since the news of Warne wanting to retire hit the rumour mills, there has been speculation.
The former Australian leg spinner finally laid the rumours to rest by confirming the news himself on Twitter where he announced that this was indeed his last IPL. The IPL 4 season has seen Rajasthan Royals trying to cover up for what has been a difficult off the field year for the IPL franchisees with the BCCI terminating their contract before the courts brought about a stay order.
Warne had earlier hinted through his Tweets that while he was pretending to playing as if he were a nineteen year old, his aching body was reminding him that he was not nineteen but rather forty-one.
Warne's retention by the Rajasthan Royals before the IPL 4 auctions raised question marks about Warne's age. But Warne has been a tremendous influence on the team and the partnership as the captain is set to end at the end of the IPL 4 season. However, Warne is likely to continue in a mentorship/coaching/ advisory position given his proximity in working to transform the IPL team.
