Shane Warne To Star in Gossip Girl!

This one deserves a laugh certainly because Liz Hurley does have her eyes on a blond and no, Shane Warne’s cosmetic surgery rumours need not run wild because he is not looking that young. And it has nothing to do with Shane Warne’s acting capabilities. Rather that this is one situation where the gossip is not as reliable simply because this is not coming from Gossip Girl.

Shane Warne may be many things, but perhaps acting is not for him, yet anyway. Professionally at least. The legendary Australian leg spinner was spotted on the sets of the popular television show, Gossip Girl. However, it had nothing to do with the notion that he was considering a career switch or that his new look (cosmetic or otherwise) had landed him a gig for the teen drama.

If truth be told, the reason Shane Warne was on and about the Gossip Girl shoot was because his girlfriend, British model actress, Liz Hurley or Elizabeth Hurley, has been cast on Gossip Girl. Warne was merely hanging around his girlfriend as she went about her shoot. That was to clear the news for cricket inclined minds. For those inclined to the show, Hurley apparently is a cougar cum media mogul type character who goes by the name Diana Payne and hooks Chace Crawford aka Nate Archibald.

Given Chace’s popularity with the girls, perhaps Warne was serving a two in one purpose, standing by his girlfriend while keeping an eye to make sure that the lip lock between Hurley and Crawford was only restricted to on screen. That seems hardly likely as Warne-Hurley romance has been steaming up cricket stadiums wherever they go, more recently during the IPL 4 season in India even though their PDA’s raised plenty of eyebrows, particularly since Hurley’s now ex husband, Arun Nayyar, is native to the land.

With Hurley happy to promote Spinners brand of clothing line for Shane Warne, Warne seems content holding onto his girlfriend as she conquers Manhattan’s Upper East Side in New York. Warne and Hurley have been creating quite a stir, particularly with intense speculation surrounding Shane Warne’s cosmetic surgery which he claims he has never undergone and his girlfriend has backed him, claiming the make up on Warne’s face is a result of their affectionate kisses and nothing more. It appears they simply cannot keep of the headlines, although Shane Warne on Gossip Girl seems to be stretching it a tad bit much.
