There is a storm behind closed doors. The BCCI, or rather the IPL disciplinary board, has been left with little choice but to intervene in a matter between Shane Warne and the Rajasthan Cricket Association Secretary, Sanjay Dixit even as the Rajasthan Royals franchisee have been unable to convince the RCA of Shane Warne's admission of guilty.

Even as Dixit and Warne continued their war on Twitter after the public fiasco following the Rajasthan Royal's loss to the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the BCCI has decided to supersede the authority in the matter in hope of a quick, easy and quiet resolution.
The Rajasthan Royals captain's abuse of Dixit in public set the ball rolling with the Rajasthan Cricket Association threatening criminal charges against Shane Warne. While the Rajasthan Royals franchisee have tendered an apology allegedly on behalf of Warne, although Warne himself seems unrepetent judging by his tweet, the Rajasthan Cricket Association have refused to believe that Warne has been punished by the Rajasthan Royals franchisee who have not been forthcoming on the nature of the punitive action taken.
Another evidence that Warne did not seem regretful about abusing Dixit in public came from his own Twitter account when he posted this over the weekend:
wait till the end of IPL and I will say everything he promised and went back on his word about to the Royals. Unfortunately it is all about Dixit ego! RR has been fantastic for RCA - it's about RR not Dixit.
Shane Warne is set to quit cricket altogether after four years with the Rajasthan Royals as captain and his retirement and the exit of the Rajasthan Royals from the IPL 4 playoffs qualification, it seems even a match or two ban is unlikely to dent the Rajasthan Royals' or Warne's spirits significantly.
Nonetheless with the likes of Lalit Modi jumping into the heat of the battle although dismissed from his former post as the IPL chairman and commissioner, the BCCI was an end to the battle that has grabbed headlines and refused to die down with the protagonists in chief continued to tussle in full public view.
Although the Rajasthan Royals franchisee have willingly submitted an apology, without the stamp of Shane Warne on it, they are helpless as they are looking to avoid further trouble not only because of their ongoing court battle with the BCCI over their 'wrongful termination' but also, because Shane Warne is set to continue to be part of the Rajasthan Royals plans as a coach in IPL 5.
The IPL disciplinary committee chaired by the IPL chairman, Chrirayu Amin, and former Indian cricketer, Ravi Shastri, is set to hear both sides of the case before adjudicating the best way to resolve the matter. The verdict is not in yet.
