Sharad Pawar will officially take over the prestigious role on the 1st of July, making him the second Indian to the post.

Jagmohan Dalmiya will be joined by the former BCCI President as the ICC President when Pawar officially takes over from David Morgan at the end of the ICC meeting in Singapore where several matters including the FTP tours programme post 2012 and the UDRS will have been discussed as also the controversial nomination of the former Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, as the ICC Vice president.
However, the latter is expected to be a tough fight with many of the cricket nations reportedly against Howard’s nomination citing Howard’s lack of cricket experience in the field as an administrator as also the perception of harbouring a racist bent of mind.
