The BCCI president has rubbished claims made via an email that N. Srinivasan was involving in a deal with Lalit Modi to ensure that the Chennai Super Kings could buy England all rounder, Andrew Flintoff, during the IPL 2 auctions.

At the end of the BCCI meeting on Saturday, Shashank Manohar directly addressed reporters on the issue, denying that the BCCI secretary was involving in anything suggested via the suspended IPL Chairman and Commissioner's emails, "I can produce papers which prove that the charges levelled by Mr Modi against Mr Srinivasan are blatant lies."
Srinivasana had also earlier rubbished the supposed deal saying that since the CSK had a full purse for the auction, they did not need to fix things in the first place, and that Shane Warne did not own the Rajasthan Royals which means Modi could not have influenced as suggested and that CSK had beaten the Royals team "Fair and square" in the auctions and there was no two ways about it.
