To the delight of his fans across the globe, Shoaib Akhtar would finally be seen in action for the Kolkata Knight Riders as confirmed by the IPL chairman Lalit Modi. This announcement came after the tribunal that laid the five year ban on him suspended the same by a month awaiting further hearing. Modi was quick to react to the call of the tribunal and said he would call him immediately and invite him to come to Kolkata at the earliest. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ would be a welcome member with the Knight Riders owned by popular Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan as it has failed to secure a win in its last four encounters. Their beginning to the league was contrary to their last four performances as they managed to win their first two matches convincingly. Shoaib could form a deadly duo with the Indian ace Ishant Sharma to lead Kolkata to better results in the cash rich affair.
