Cricket South Africa have extended an invitation asking Anil Kumble to help assist their spinners in a conditioning camp. It was an offer Kumble did not turn down, with many questioning how SOuth Africa pulled this one right under the BCCI's nose.

South Africa have had their share of spinners over the years from Pat Symcox, Derek Crookes, Nicky Boje, Johan Botha and Paul Harris. Now they are aiming to go one step higher, have a spinner who can joint he ranks of Kumble himself. And they have turned to one of the men that has tormented their cricketers.
The BCCI though appear unfazed, claiming to have their own skin academy in Chennai which they hope will respond to India's despondent bowling scenario presently that is resting hopes on Harbhajan Singh regain the confidence post injuries and hoping Pragyan Ojha and Amit Mishra has stand up to the rigours.
