South Africa are reeling from the allegations and criticism of the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 exit. However, they managed to show that they were not entirely out of depth as they handed the hosts a two match Twenty20 defeat.

The second match saw South Africa win narrowly by one run while the first match saw them win by thirteen runs after Ryan McLaren scalped five wickets. The success of the second match was attributed to Johan Botha after the spinner cornered the West Indies with three wickets while also, scoring the second highest score of the South African innings, twenty-three runs. Earlier it was David Miller who pulled South Africa out with thirty-three runs after Jerome Taylor knocked the wind out of the sails with three wickets himself. Dwayne Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul partnership going in vain.
South Africa seemed to have slightly better control in the first match with Jacques Kallis scoring a half century and South African captain, Graeme Smith, scoring thirty-seven runs.
In the midst of the mayhem, Kieron Pollard earned the wrath of the match referee for going against the spirit of the game while Smith himself is facing the possibility of a match suspension after receiving two fines over slow over rates during South Africa’s trip to the Caribbean.
