The picture above involving Graeme Smith and Justin Kemp is dated back to two years ago on the eve of the one day international between South Africa and Pakistan in Mohali, India in the previous edition of the Champions Trophy. This edition, if it does get the green signal, will not see this team in green on the turf.

It is on good authority that it can be now revealed that South Africa are pushing for a resechulding of the Champions because their players will not travel to Pakistan. This comes at a time when the ICC is finding out to their dismay that their meeting for Sunday is perhaps giving people enough time to make their own decisions and leaving no rope for the ICC.
The ICC could well change their stance now and try and convince the Asian Cricket Council members to acceded to a postponement perhaps instead of going ahead or scrapping it altogether, a move that will not be met easily given that the Asian team are showign considerably angst at the twist where even Sri Lanka as alternative venue is likely to meet the same fate.
