Cricket South Africa have confirmed that they will be hosting the second edition of the 2010 Champions League Twenty20 amidst speculation that the CL T20 was going to travel abroad.

It is not just the security concerns that have seen this move but also, the fact that the CL T20 has been modelled on a more global version of the IPL.

While India hosted the 2009 edition that the New South Wales Blues won, the 2010 Champions League Twenty20 will feature twelve teams, three IPL teams as it did last year.

This is the second event to be hosted by South Africa after they played hosts to the 2009 IPL 2 season.
