From a suspect injury to having to fly back home even before the series has begun, Sreesanth's career has once again been given an untimely break, this time in the Emerald Isles.

The Indian team management had earlier dismissed injury concerns when Sreesanth complaining of pain during bowling. But their cautionary MRI revealed serious damage -medial collateral ligament tear in his left knee - that will now see Sreesanth fly home to India, with a week left for the first Test to begin.
This would be a bitter blow for India given that Sreesanth was to be the makeshift spearhead in the bowling attack following Zaheer Khan's shoulder injury. Now it appears Ishant Sharma will have more than he bargained for as he attempts to make a decent outing for the Indian team after falling off the radar performance wise over the past year.
The Indians may not really see the need to announce a replacement with Umesh Yadav and Jaidev Unadkat already helping out the Indians in the net. Besides, Abhimanyu Mithun has also joined the team as replacement for Zaheer Khan.
