Zaheer Khan returns from shoulder injury while India have decided to retain Ishant Sharma, leaving no room for Ashish Nehra, surprisingly left out in favour of Sreesanth. India will also have three spinners option of Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha who is yet to make his Test debut.

Also, in the team as batsmen are M. Vijay and Subramaniam Badrinath, the latter who is yet to play a Test for India.

The rest of the line up boasts of the predictable names led by Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni as V.V.S. Laxman and Rahul Dravid become the bigger names to continue to highlight the Test team.

India's team for the first two Tests against Sri Lanka:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni , Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, M Vijay, S Badrinath, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha, Amit Mishra.
