Sreesanth may have into hot water with his IPL 4 franchisee, the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. But Mahela Jayawardene is not leaving Sreesanth to fend for himself as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian captain, had done as he threw up his hands as far as the fast bowler is concerned. Sreesanth's latest finger wagging may be more serious rather frivolous as claimed by the KTK captain.

Sreesanth was apparently gesticulating in the direction of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala coach, Geoff Lawson, after it was decided that the fast bowler would be dropped from the line up against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in favour of a slower bowler.
Unfortunately for Sreesanth, the animated discussion was captured on camera and although the interpretation was left to those who watched the footage, Mahela Jayawardene advised the media against reporting it against the fast bowler from Kerala, stating that it was hardly of the level that could be described as one of Sreesanth's antics to rub team management the wrong way.
Sreesanth has had a mixed run thus far in the IPL 4. While he nursed ambitions to captain his home team since moving away from the Kings XI Punjab, that spot went to Jayawardene who is not willing to throw Sreesanth to the wolves and the fast bowler should be grateful to the Sri Lankan cricketer for that given that Sreesanth shares a terse relationship within the cricket circles and it is something that has come in the way of his career. Instead Sreesanth was advised by Gary Kirsten, the outgoing Indian coach, to focus on elevating his cricket career a notch higher. In that sense, any unfavourable report would only affect Kerala's flag bearer/
