The debacle at the Ferozeshah Kotla did not quite impact Sri Lanka. But the performances of some of the players in the ODI series in India has ensured that Sri Lanka field a virtually unrecognizable squad for the Bangladesh tri series which also involves India.

Kumar Sangakkara appears the one stand out face in the squad named for the ODI tri series in Bangladesh. That is a result, rather a combination, of injuries and poor form which has ensured some of the biggest names do not feature at all.
While injuries have rendered Muttiah Muralithatan, Mahela Jayawardene, Angelo Matthews and Dilhara Fernando, there was no shortage of humiliation for the likes of Sanath Jayasuriya, Ajantha Mendis, and Lasith Malinga who were all dropped after failing to impress.
