SRK Battle Against Sena over Pakistan Cricketers Intensifies

Undeterred by the vicious rants of the political party, Shah Rukh Khan is ready to face wrath from the Shiv Sena over his remarks about the Pakistan cricketers.

One has to say that it is rather despicable that political parties have succumbed to the lowest level, stooping to even pick on something like sports, to gain to mileage.

Shah Rukh Khan may or may not be a soft target, given his religious base, but the Shiv Sena have made no bones about the fact that his religion has also been made victim in the charade that the political party is carrying out in the name of the people of Mumbai and Maharashtra.

Reviving the issue of sons of the soil in a desperate attempt to win the sympathy of the educated Marathi man who is distancing himself from the argument, Shiv Sena's biggest and perhaps only battle is with a deserter in their own ranks. Raj Thackeray's MNS is what the Shiv Sena want to thwart and it has led to the old protagonist, Bal Thackeray, to sound the bugle again, this time against the Bollywood actor.

Threatening Shah Rukh over his own place in the city of Mumbai, the ambitious but misdirected party may have stepped a little too far and revealed their pathetic ways to get their hands on some power, even if it is by brute, intelligent force. Their shallowness in cowardly claiming the city as their own, when they themselves are yet to leave an indelible mark of good work on the city, known better for their ways for disrupting life and making it difficult for someone else rather than put in the hard work themselves, they have now targetted the co owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Incidentally while they took on SRK and joked that Ajmal Kasab should be made KKR captain, it is interesting to note that both uncle and nephew were nowhere on the scene when the 26/11 attacks took place. Their voice was barely heard a week after the attacks.

They now seem to have made cricket their business, perhaps when nothing else seems to be working for them. After Sachin Tendulkar, cricket and Bollywood are the two topics that the feuding family seems to be a race to outbid each other to attack.

The same Thackeray name that was associated with and had no problems with the vulgar gyrations of beloved pop icon, now deceased, Michael Jackson, appears to have developed an intolerant note against anyone who does not have their finger on the winning vote.

Did someone fail to tell them - there are better ways to make a name for themselves than shaming all peace loving Maharashtrian folk who have always welcomed working hand in hand with their fellow Indians?

Shah Rukh Khan appears to have been targetted because he stated he was an Indian before saying he belonged to Mumbai. Really, and this is the political party that talks of unifying the city and state when they cannot set things right in their own family.

They must be delusional because the only thing the party or parties are becoming famous for is their divisive behaviour rather than enhancing the city and state by their contributions.

Leave cricket alone and get to work. Real work.
