Andrew Strauss is evidently disappointed that England did not get a chance to dish out a whitewash to the Australians, after the latter won the fourth ODI of the NatWest Series.

The England skipper was bitterly disappointed not to rub into the Australians but wants a win on Saturday at Lord's to at least make it 4-1, "We didn't get things right enough. We were very hopeful we could do it. What we were trying to focus on was getting it to 4-0, trying not to look too far ahead."
He gave credit to the Australians and to Shaun Tait, "Australia did what you expect them to do; they came back hard at us and put in the better performances. I think Australia bowled pretty well, but we could have played a lot better than we did. Obviously, Shaun Tait coming into the series has added a bit more pace on the ball."
Strauss also did not express undue anxiety about the fact that Kevin Pietersen was flattering to deceive at the crease, " He's ( Kevin Pietersen ) always frustrated when he doesn't get runs. But he's a world-class player and he will score runs. It's as simple as that, so I haven't got any particular worries on that front. I'm sure he'd like to finish this series off in a positive fashion on Saturday. He seems in excellent nick, in the nets, his body language, his work rate. That's all fine, so I've got no worries about him really."
