Praise must go when praise is due. That is what the man who made a century in each innings of the Test reckons as he talks about Virender Sehwag.

Strauss had branded man of the match in the first Test in Chennai, Sehwag, as an exceptional player who did have his moments when his heart must have been in his throat but knew how to take "the attack to the opposition". Strauss also believes that by playing the way he does, Sehwag has enormous freedom to really win it for India.

He admitted that it was hard for a skipper to set fields when a player is in that kind of mood and the opposition is often left with fewer options than waiting for Sehwag to "make a mistake".
Naturally he also mentioned that Sehwag was a great player to watch but not as part of the opposition team against India.
Strauss also said that he thought India would find it tough to scale England's target of 387. But perhaps that was before even he truly understood the momentum Sehwag generated and let Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh flow.
