On the heels of reports of the marriage come the key issue related to cricket, that of the Sunanda Pushkar's sweat equity in the Kochi IPL team.

The marriage between former Union Minister for External Affairs, Shashi Taroor, and his "friend", Sunanda Pushkar, began doing the rounds once the couple visited temples together. It is yet unclear whether the official marriage is scheduled for 17th of August or 22nd of August.
However, the news is that Pushkar will give up her equity in the IPL team after much controversy and those shares will be bought back by the team investors themselves.
The sweat equity was what fuelled the entire controversy that spiralled out of control in the course of the IPL 3 costing Taroor his government post while Lalit Modi's status has changed to suspended IPL Chairman and Commissioner.
