Sunil Gavaskar Makes Serious Allegations Against Stuart Broad's Brat Behaviour

Sunil Gavaskar has made a scathing remark on one of cricket's father-son pairs suggesting it is their alliance that is getting the younger Broad off the hook.

Gavaskar wrote in his column about Stuart Broad, England's latest and brightest hope, is getting away with unbecoming behaviour because of the influence of his father, ICC Match Referee, Chris Broad, whom the umpires do not want to upset.

Gavaskar refers to Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain who are believed to have also asked questions of the younger Broad's habit of constantly questioning the umpires by putting his hands on his hips when he does not like a call.

Broad's latest misgiving came in the first Test against South Africa in Centurion when he questioned the timing of South Africa's appeal for his dismissal using the Umpire Review Decision System (UDRS) which eventually went against him.

Broad is showing maturity beyond his years in the department of shouldering responsibility but not all are convinced he has the right attitude of respecting the men in white in the gentleman's game.
