Sachin Tendulkar has been on a whirlwind break since his injury and while that has meant that he was present at Federer’s crowning glory moment, he missed out on the opportunity to catch Michael Jackson live…again.

Tendulkar spoke to a local newspaper about the disappointment of not being able to see ‘The King of Pop’ performing live at the O2 stadium in London. Michael Jackson’s untimely death just three weeks before the scheduled tour to the UK even as he was rehearsing his final moves at the Staples Center in Los Angeles has disappointed many fans who have been wanting to see the ‘greatest entertainer of all time’ begin his comeback on stage.
Tendulkar was one of the people looking eagerly for the moment that was eventually denied. Tendulkar expressed shock at the news of MJ’s passing away and spoke about how he had grown up, like many, listening to Michael belt out some of the best music the world has ever heard.
He also spoke about the fact that he had missed Jackson’s only concert in Mumbai because the Indian cricket team was focused on the Titan Cup. Now it is an opportunity that has been taken out of hands.
However, Tendulkar did have the opportunity to see Roger Federer live in action at Wimbledon on Centre Court when he went onto to beat Pete Sampras’ record of fourteen Grand Slams with his sixth Wimbledon title. But Tendulkar still had one wish - to meet Federer in person as he has Formula One's Michael Schumacher.
