Sachin Tendulkar's performance for the Mumbai Indians is reviving talk about him playing for the Indian cricket team in the ICC World Twenty20. But he has flatly refused to entertain thoughts on that front, even as the Indian selectors sit down to trim the probables to the final squad for the event that hopes to be the pride of the West Indies.

The Indian team flying down to the Caribbean for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 will not have Tendulkar in the team, by his own design.
Even as Tendulkar has been on a fine patch and his age does not seem to impair him in the ongoing 2010 IPL 3, Tendulkar himself has stuck to his stance, despite overwhelming appeals, that he had decided to sit out of the 2007 edition in the bid to give the Indian youngsters a chance and that he was not going to go back on that decision.
The Indian selectors have a tricky business of hand because of the many injury concerns. Yuvraj Singh is coming from a hand injury and his form and fitness have been largely absent for his team, the Kings XI Punjab. Ashish Nehra, Gautam Gambhir and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are prominently nursing injuries and even the Chennai Super Kings coach, Stephen Fleming, realizes that Dhoni's role as the Indian captain would mean that the CSK cannot really force Dhoni into the role prematurely.
