Even as the ICC plans to take the Umpire Decision Review System to the ICC World Cup 2011, India are not bowled over the system and have flatly refused it for the India Sri Lanka Test series.

The UDRS has been a controversial, even touchy, subject for the Indians, who failed to use it to their benefit in the 2008 series. Ever since the UDRS has received mixed signals with Sri Lankan more than willing to employ the system, adequate and efficient technology or not, while Indians are not too keen on the system. The Sri Lankans were previously unhappy as well that India did not employ the UDRS during the home Test series.
The ICC’s plan to implement the system through all Tests has once again received the set up because the host nation has failed to convince their opponents of the merits of the system. The UDRS was used as recently as the South Africa West Indies Test series.
