Earlier South Africa decided not to use the Umpire Decision Review System (UDRS) following India's decision in their series against Sri Lanka. But now it appears the UDRS will feature in South Africa.

The BCCI chose to ignore the ICC norm to put the UDRS to use on Sri Lanka's tour of India. But South Africa came under considerable pressure after England think tank expressed surprise that South Africa chose to tow India's line.
With the UDRS being employed in the Pakistan's tour of New Zealand and in the forthcoming West Indies tour of Australia, South Africa are being compelled to embrace the system.
