Vaughan called-upon to lift the Dejected England Squad

Defeat is always very difficult to digest - moreover if it's as embracing as a clean sweep when you are defending the urn you marginally grasped, it gets further stiffer to accept.

England isn't a team as pathetic as the result of the just concluded Ashes series would suggest, however, it's a squad that has enough potential to take on any team at any point and better it (taking nothing away from the splendid Aussie performance).

Team England is bound to be low and out following the aforementioned catastrophe, perhaps it may be responsible for the outcome, but my passionate fervor for the game suggests that it was more likely their misfortune (injuries to some prominent players) that halted the series at such a platform.

No finger can be raised on the standing captain Andrew Flintoff for the team's wretched performance, he may have made some tactical blunders here and there but all said and done such were to come from him, having to lead the team in such a crucial juncture.

Eventually our Mr. Freddy, will have to vacate the place for the man of stature who was the prodigy behind the brightest moment in England's modern day cricketing history (the Ashes glory in 2005), which now to the world looks a begotten history.

The England team management has called upon Michael Vaughan to lead the mentally beleaguered squad in the triangular ODI series against the South Hem. neighbors Australia and New Zealand. The series begin in four days time in Melbourne, will Vaughan be able to inject the much required impetus into the team or...? Is what only time will tell.
