How long has the England Captain Michael Vaughan played in the recent time since his surgery, you could barely count that on your fingertips. Leaving all that injury stuff behind he is confident of leading the side in the World Cup and more importantly is positive of his fitness - he perhaps is but how many of you English fans are? In the real sense even he is shaky.

My words may seem a bit topsy-turvy to you but how is appointing Andrew Flintoff as his deputy (with the countdown for the World already begun) justified - it only will perpetuate the wisest to believe, in the thing of things there is something fishy somewhere.
Taking nothing away form Freddy, he is an excellent cricketer - he has led the side on numerous occasions, has the CB Series win under his credentials to back his contention - and will surely be the best alternative in Vaughan's boots in his absence, but for my opinion - I have never preferred him as a skipper, he is accustomed to succumbing under pressure and his own game goes for a toss.
England has flown to the Caribbean and will play Bermuda in a warm-up game on Monday and defending champions Australia on March 9. This will be followed with their group opener against New Zealand on March 16 in St. Lucia.
The World Cup is wide open for the taking for any team that can adapt to the conditions in the West Indies and remains fit. Return of star batsman Kevin Pietersen, who broke a rib in the one-dayer against Australia in January, will be an added booster for the high-spirited England Squad.
