New Zealand all-rounder Daniel Vettori is set to return home pausing his county stint with Warwickshire after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his lower back.

Kiwi vice-captain Vettori scored 27 in his first game for Warwickshire. Vettori has joined Warwickshire this winter but played one match. The club has not confirmed whether Vettori will return after his treatment and rehabilitation.
The 27-year all-rounder will need to focus his energies on getting healthy, added Mark Greatbatch, director of coaching. New Zealand is preparing for the ICC Champions Trophy in India. The mini-world cup will commence in October. Prior to this, New Zealand has no international matches. Therefore, Vettori is expecting speedy recovery for the event.
