Shane Warne with meet up with Victoria's Premier, John Brumby, to find a way to reduce the tension between the Indian community and the Victorian natives over the recent spate of racist attacks.

Warne has also reportedly been in touch with the student bodies, who feel Warne is the perfect ambassador because he enjoys a healthy following in both countries and therefore, would be more in tune with Indian culture.

Warne asserted, "I believe I can make a difference, and that's important. Both people are passionate about cricket, both people are passionate about sport. Melbourne is a wonderful place to live. This has to stop, it is not right, what is happening."
