Warne was quick to snap at the heels of Buchanan upon learning that Buchanan has taken up a position with the England Cricket Board (ECB) in a consultant role that is yet to be publicly clarified. Buchanan has been in the limelight in recent months for all the wrong reasons that included disconcerting the camp of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2 in South Africa.

However, the ECB are happy to have Buchanan on board and Warne says Australia should be too. According to Warne, the Australian leg spinner who now captains the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, who labeled Buchanan’s talks in the Australian dressing room during his stint as coach as verbal diarrhea, Buchanan is bound to mess up the thoughts there as well and by putting undue pressure during exhaustive training, Warne, in jest, hoped that Buchanan would take out someone of the likes of Kevin Pietersen or Andrew Flintoff, "overcomplicates matters" and thereby, give Australia a real advantage or two.
