September 13 is still a short way away. But not for Shane Warne who decided to celebrate his birthday in style, in another attention grabbing event for the starry eyed cricketer.

The man who revived leg spin decided his fortieth birthday merited a bash at Chapel St. in Melbourne in tow with his wife, Simone Callahan, with whom he appears to have finally reconciled.
It was expected that this was a day when champagne, nay, Polish vodka and cigars would mark the big 4-0. And the guest list included popular media personalities in Australia, his poker buddies and AFL stars and a possible drop by by Hollywood actress, Uma Thurman. Amongst cricket colleagues, it was also reported that Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist would be nowhere near the event although Ian Chappell and Allan Border had been invited in the 200 strong 'private' party list.
