The first silly thought on hearing of Shahid Afridi's shameful ball tampering act was - was he really that hungry?

There is a popular chocolate brand act that depicts a football player who gets hungry at 4pm and the coach and his team mates are ready with the chocolate bar so, he does not slip up.
South Africa's Graeme Smith has a better take on the Pakistan all rounder's behaviour at the WACA in the fifth ODI against Australia. Smith retorted at a press conference, "Shahid probably didn’t like the lunch…"
But that was not all he said. He had a kind word as well, "It’s always tough in the heat of the moment (when you are trying to play according to the rules)."
Really, this though to want to chew on a ball?
