Shivnaraine Chanderpaul
is going through a dream run in his cricketing career. He is scoring centuries after centuries against England in both test and one day matches.
Once again showing his class, Chanderpaul scored unbeaten 116, which help West Indies to beat England by 61 runs in the second one day international at Edgbaston. This victory means that three match one day series is tied at 1-1 with one match to go at Trent Bridge on Saturday.

Earlier, England won the toss on a cloudy Birmingham and decided to field first. West Indies started impressively with captain Chris Gayle looking in top form. But once Sidebottom snapped Gayle, West Indies lost the initial momentum and was reduced to 82 for 2 in 20 overs. Then come the pivotal part of the game. Shivnaraine Chanderpaul in collaboration with Marlon Samuels formed a solid partnership in the middle overs. They scored 175 runs in less than 34 overs.

Chasing a daunting target of 279, England was never in the game, thanks to some brilliant bowling from Fidel Edwards and Darren Powell. Only Owais Shah and Matt Prior scored runs for England while captain Paul Collingwood and Kevin Pieterson was out pretty cheaply. Shah made gritty 45 while Prior scored first half century of his career.
