What happens to Players who Belong to More than One Team in the CL T20?

The IPL Governing Council has decided to follow a similar move from last year where the teams have to decide on the players they wish to retain and pay up the compensation going into the Champions League Twenty20 2010.

There are several players in the Champions League Twenty20 who make up the list for their respective IPL teams as well as those they are contracted with by national or financial interests. The IPL governing council has chosen to break the deadlock wherein if the player decides to play for the home team, there is not compensation involved for the away team whereas the away team can pay a compensation of $200,000 to the home team to retain the player.

Ross Taylor is the unique player who has to choose between three teams but that could well extend to Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, both of the Mumbai Indians and the former also playing for the South Australian Redbacks, should Trinidad and Tobago qualify.

Players Eligible to play for two teams:

Jacques Kallis (Warriors, Bangalore), Mark Boucher (Warriors, Bangalore Royal Challengers), Makhaya Ntini (Warriors, Chennai Super Kings), Kieron Pollard (South Australia, Mumbai Indians), Dwayne Bravo (Victoria, Mumbai Indians) and Cameron White (Victoria Bushrangers, Bangalore Royal Challengers), Ross Taylor ( Bangalore Royal Challengers, Central Districts, Victoria Bushrangers).
