Experiments and cricket go hand in hand in India - the biggest cricketing event is just around the corner and the Indian cricket team is still going through experimentation.

The rotation policy employed by the team is yet to be swallowed - Sourav Ganguly makes a comeback into the ODI squad after one odd year and post one good performance has a ticket guaranteed for the Indies while Joginder Sharma gets a solitary opportunity to prove and then sent into wait for another four years.
One thing that troubles me about the selectors (though there’s nothing that ain’t a worry) is, what prompted them to select Sachin Tendulkar as the deputy in charge, is it his awesome touch struggling for runs (jokes apart) - Or is it that the selectors cannot part with the legend just lingering onto his past laurels backing him for the ultimate gala.
The latest in the ongoing trend is the possible inclusion of Irfan Pathan for the fourth and final ODI against West Indies, he has been struggling to hit form - the ODI is well poised with one side eager for a win and the other desperate to salvage parity.
Is the game right time for experimentation or should the best be included - the management is in a fix and is unable to decide what’s appropriate for Indian cricket, but they certainly need to switch gears or else the hopes of ‘83 relive will remain a distant reality.
