Commentator Saves the Day!...nice hyperbole, but close.
Cricket commentators are expected to be biased observers of the sport, telling it like it is. But in a rare situation, Arun Lal found himself doing the Indian team a favour against Sri Lanka in the Queens Sports Park in Bulawayo.

The Indian captain, Suresh Raina, took the second power play immediately after the mandatory first ten overs but failed to notify the umpire of the same. As a result while the overs kept ticking over, the Indian captain arranged his field as per power play regulations even as the umpires remained oblivious to the situation.
That is when Arun Lal decided to take the task upon himself and notify the Indian team management of the folly following his commentary stint. Raina took stock of the situation, and informed the umpires upon which the power plays overs were officially commenced as India had to repeat their actions all over again.
Had Sri Lanka had their wickets in hand and had the power play overs up their sleeve through the Indian captain’s overlook, there is no telling the damage that would have been inflicted!
