The talk currently may be of Rakhi Sawant refusing to become a guest entry on Bigg Boss house allowing Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kisen to go back to the days of his popularity with audiences all over, but Rakhi Sawant can say, she bowled over Kapil pa ji as well!

Last week second ICL final between the Hyderabad Heroes and the Lahore Badshahs also a new invited guest to the studios. Rakhi Sawant sat in red hot pants right next to the reticent Kapil Dev. But count on Rakhi to not only add her own personality to the show but also, rope in Kapil to do a duet act as well.

Rakhi fired off some 1000kph questions at Kapil. Sample these:
Why are players playing so much of Twenty20 matches? Do they lack strength or running short of time?
She asks Kapil in the middle of a serious discussion: are you married? Clearly the question took him by surprise because it took what seemed like a couple of minutes before Kapil could muster the words in the right format to say he was happily married. Well said, Sir.

Another point where she bamboozled Kapil and the rest of the audience was when she said she was a big fan of Kapil Dev even before she was born! (what was that, Rakhi, come again?) Oh and also, that she wants a “Dulha” (bridegroom) like Kapil. When Kapil stated that she rather not talk about him, she politely queried, “Aapko koi problem hoti hain?” (Do you have a problem?)

She brought a bat into the studio and said she wanted Kapil Dev to teach her how to bat. But she, also in well meaning manner, suggested there should be a girls cricket team as well in the ICL. Wonder who will cheer them then?

Rakhi Sawant had a grouse: why only foreign cheerleaders were allowed to dance around in hot pants (read mini skirts) when her girls (the cheerleaders for the ICL, the ICL Zeebras, were trained by here) were forced to pull down the hemlines of their skirt. Kapil answered that as best he could stating perfectly that it was not a matter of a skirt being long or short but about how it suited the person and performance best.

She also wanted to know “kya kami hain desi ladkiyon mein?” (why were Indian girls not considered good enough for cheerleading that Twenty20 leagues were importing foreign dancers?)

She wanted to also know why she was not invited to every game to perform (what was that the producers were saying – cost cutting?) When asked if she was performing at the cricket match for free, she retorted, “Why should I? Aren’t the cricketers getting paid? Why should I starve?”

Rakhi would not leave Kapil Dev till he made a couple of moves on the dance floor (converted studio) with her. But it certainly seemed to get Kapil into a more forthcoming mood as even he felt energized by Rakhi’s vivacious personality.

Leave it to Rakhi to wield the bat in hand as she demanded to know, “Who wants to ban the cheerleaders?”
