There seems no end in sight soon and the likes of Chris Gayle and Ramnaresh Sarwan appear to be threatened with being ignored altogether.

Given the latest twist in the mediation, it appears unlikely that cricket fans will see a return to strength to the West Indies team any time soon.
Now the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has thrown another problem WIPA's (West Indies Players Association) way. It has stated that it was virtually mandatory for all striking cricketers to play in a domestic limited overs tournament in Guyana in order to be able to stand to be selected for the upcoming series against Australia.
But given the state of affairs, it remains to be seen whether the striking players will see WICB's right of way.
WICB has also explained why it had sacked John Dyson as West Indies coach. Stating that Dyson had not signed the contract despite being coach of the team for nearly two years, they found it untenable to continue on any further without his signature on the dotted line.
They have also stated that Darren Sammy is going to miss the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa not because the player had decided to stand by the WIPA or under pressure from the striking players but rather from an injury which will now see Kevin McLean take his place.
