David Moore is quiet optimistic of heading as a, full time coach of the West Indies cricket team. The former coach Bennett King quit after the World Cup 2007 and Moore was replaced as a caretaker coach.

Moore has played cricket in Australia at the domestic level as a wicketkeeper for New South Wales. He has played with cricketing legends like Steve Waugh, Mark Taylor and others.

As a head coach of the New South Wales women's side in 2001 he led to the team to victory in the Women's National Cricket League. He has also coached the Balmain Cricket Club in Sydney. In 2002 he was appointed as senior coach of the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy.

Moore has worked under Bennett King both at the domestic and international levels.

Of recent years West Indian side has not set up a mark both in tests and one dayers also the recent retirement of their star batsman Brian Lara have made them feel tormented.

Though West Indies are one-zero down in current test series versus England it's high time for Moore to cater his utmost best and give a new dimension, to West Indies Cricket, whereby cementing his chance and proving his worth as a coach.
