Cameron White finds himself in a tricky situation. On the one hand, he would have dearly loved to play for his Australian team, Victoria Bushrangers, in the Champions League Twenty20 2010 in South Africa. But now he will play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the degree of betrayal has even Cricket Australia worried.

David Hussey has been named Victoria captain after White was forced, as per IPL regulations, comply after RCB solicited his efforts. However, White has missed out on an opportunity to show that not only is he Australia's best Twenty20 player but also, worthy of the leadership that eventually went to Michael Clarke.
While the RCB will compensate Victoria for their loss, the idea that White will now have to comply with the IPL team and perhaps give inputs on his Australia state side is appealing neither to him nor to his board. It is reported that Cricket Australia will be taking up the issue with the IPL before the next edition of the CL T20 gets underway.
For now, White will have to stay put in the RCB den.
