In what could be a major coup, the IPL Commissioner may be planning another money spinning deal, this time with the popular video stream website.

You Tube may end up live streaming the IPL 3 season on its website even as Sony has won the television rights. The idea is still hush-hush as the IPL Commissioner, Lalit Modi, has refused to comment on it, simply stating that IPL would have more news in the near future.
Knowing the following on You Tube, if this were indeed the case, it would not only mean a huge coup in terms of revenue with the live streaming of matches but also, the opportunity to further expand on the fan base for the IPL which would meet Modi's goal of the IPL being the no.1 global sports event on a war footing.
