It is a strange turnaround from a man who did not want to play Twenty20 in the first place. The successful Pakistan captain, who led his team to victory in the ICC World Twenty20, now wants more for his players.

The Pakistan cricketers did not feature in the IPL 2 in South Africa after political tensions marred diplomatic relations between neighbours India and Pakistan. But with the Pakistan team now winning the prestigious event, Younis Khan has demanded that not only the Pakistan players be included back in the team, but also, that they receive a substantial increase in wages.
Younis Khan felt that the IPL auctions did not yield payments worthy of the talent of the players and has demanded that the IPL franchisee teams recall their Pakistan players by offering them far better deals now that they are champion material, much like the Indian counterparts before them.
Already there is talk of including the Pakistan cricketers in the Champions League Twenty20 in October 2009 but it will be subject to diplomatic allowances on both sides of the border.
