It appears that Pakistan’s defeat in the third ODI yesterday, the third consecutive loss in the series, and the loss of the Test series has lent its voice to the many dissension theories.

Pakistan’s captain, Younis Khan, has denied reports of there being rifts between the captains and the senior members of the team. It is a theory that is often floated around when Pakistan is doing badly. However, Younis Khan has denied any misdeeds on the part of former captain Shoaib Mallik who is also said to have been subjected to a similar groupism within the team before he was eventually relieved of the captaincy.
In the past there have been moments when blame has been levied from Shahid Afridi to Mohammad Yousuf for disturbing the mental peace and balance of the team. Now it appears that once again discord within the team is being floated around a possible reason for Pakistan faring as badly as they have since winning the ICC World Twenty20 in England, UK.
Younis has even gone one step further, indirectly blaming the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), for its poor set up which has meant that cricketers have progressed to the top level without the necessary skills. Younis states that he himself learnt to improve upon his technique as he started playing more of international cricket.
Rest assured, this debate is not likely to be shut in a hurry.
