Former Pakistan captains are in agreement that the Pakistan cricketers who are found guilty must be sacked with immediate effect.
Imran Khan and Rameez Raja have not only expressed shock at the turn of events in the course of the England Pakistan Test series where spot fixing was exposed in the fourth Test at Lord’s but also, have demanded stringent action against the players.
Imran and Raja are unanimous that those players who are guilty should be stripped off the opportunity to play for Pakistan in the future and thereby, teach future generations the perils of toying dangerously with the game. Imran Khan does not see why all of Pakistan cricket should suffer because of the controversy for the sake of a few tainted players.
Rameez Raja is also said to have indicated to certain channels that he believes the Indian angle to the controversy should also be proved because in his opinion, the bookies have their den within Pakistan’s neighbouring country.
