India Overtake Australia For Second Spot in ICC ODI Ranking

It’s official. India have now surpassed Australia in the ICC ODI rankings.
India are now placed in the second spot in the ICC ODI rankings, on 122 points while South Africa lead the pack with 127 points. By winning in New Zealand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Indian team now lead the Australian team by a point and two if South Africa beat Australia in the dead rubber that is the fifth ODI tomorrow.
South Africa put an end to the 69 month domination of the Australians when they beat them in Australia earlier this year and followed it up with this ODI win at home. In the 79 month history, Australia have held the longest streak as well, for 52 consecutive weeks.
Now with the balance shifting, the battle for the top is one hot affair.
